Question by Sunkissed5: What kind of workout burns calories even after you stop?
I want to do that kind! Lol I am a bride to be, just got a gym membership. I've been doing the eliptical for thirty minutes, then basic arm and leg machines. I also switched two of my meals a day to fruits/veggies. Am I exercising right to burn calories after I stop my exercise for the day? I want to be down twenty pounds when my fiancé returns from his deployment! Thanks

HIIT (high intensity interval training) you will continue to burn calories 24-48 after youv'e done the workout. There are so many variations and exercises to do in HIIT. Google it and choose a routine you like.

    Without knowing what your current daily calories are I would say your doing pretty well… Keep exercising daily and sweating those pounds off and the most important thing is to eat the right kinds of foods…

    Sugars, high carbs, soda, smoking, = FAIL

    Drink LOTS of water

    lifting weights—your body has to repair torn muscle up to 48 hours after you workout. This requires more calories = faster metabolism.

    the elliptical is a waste of time.

    There is actual no FACT proving such a workout exists. Theirs many than you can try but again none are known to actually keep working out after youv finished

    Lifting weights will increase your BMR (basal metabolic rate) and cause you to burn more calories at rest.
    Research has consitently show that combining weightlifting, cardio, and a small calories deficit is the most efficient way of losing weight.
