Question by Rob B: Can you help me to find a really unique, thoughtful but inexpensive wedding present for my new wife please?
Hello all, we're getting married at the end of May and I'd like to buy my fiancee a really unique gift to give to her on our wedding day. Unfortunately, I have recently been made redundant so it has to be reasonably inexpensive - say less than £30. She's not into 'off-the-wall' things and is normally a nightmare to buy for!
Thanks in advance...

What about a piece of silver jewellery with a personal message engraved on it. It will last forever and nobody else will have it. After all, it’s the sentiment not the cost.
how about a book to record the memories you are going to make together in your future life
DO you have a picture from your first date? Or maybe a ticket or movie stub from whatever activity you did? Maybe you could frame it and give to her. Write a poem too.
Think of something she uses everyday so that she will have it with her even when you’re not around, as a reminder of your love. An engraved keychain comes to mind.
Or something a little different…… Does she work in an office? How about a small framed photo of you as a child that she can look at each day. You could write something personal on the back of the photo and then put the frame backing on. Don’t say anything about that part, and see how long it takes for her to find it!!
You could give her a hint and tell her that the photo “isn’t the most important part of the gift” and let her wonder……..
a ring
or a photo of u and her
or photos of memories in a photo book
buy her a set
do you know what sort of art she likes? you could get a nice picture from a local artist or art school. or you could get her a lovely piece of silver jewellery from a local jewellery maker and have it engraved.if she’s into slushy make her a dvd with photos and her fave songs, or a collage framed.
Write her a poem … just about her and your love for her and how you are looking forward to growing old with her …. it’s relatively easy as it doesn’t have to rhyme … then spend your £30 on getting a printer to set it out nicely and bound it in a little book to preserve it. It will show her how much you care and let her know how you feel about her … priceless I think.
Adding to Trish’s suggestion about making a book for her about memories, you can purchase sweet journals that will help you do this.
Here is a For My Bride journal, with suggested topics you fill out about her and your relationship.

I checked their shopping cart, and they do ship to the UK.
It says it will make her cry- I think they could be right!
What about a nice ironing board and steam iron?
