Bridesmaids?

How many should I have? Should I ask his sister to be one of my bridesmaids? I really don't even know her... And who is supposed to pay for the bridemaids dresses? Me or them? I get so many different answers from people. Do I choose their dresses? Do they choose their own?

YOU choose the dresses, they buy them unless you want to. And if it's a larger wedding party then it might be a good idea to ask his sister to be a bridesmaid but you don;t have to, just make the number you have match the number of groomsmen he has.

Have you gone to the Davids Bridal website and played with their "Dress Your Wedding" program? It's a great little program that lets you dress up yourself, your groom and your bridal party...I used it a lot when I was planning my wedding.

All the colors do match! they are all in victorian lilac.

Ok...This is your big special day and you deserve for things
to be PERFECT.
I think while the idea of your Bridal Party wearing different
dresses plays out in theory, it actually distracts focus
from you. Everyone will be looking at the dresses as if
it was a fashion show.
The color is ok if you are dead set on it. There are other
variations of lilac that are brighter and livlier.
Careful af having strapless dresses...foundations are hard
to come by and there is always going to be one woman who
does not wear the dress well. That will ruin your pics.

My Godmother had a magnificent wedding in August.
I was the Flower Girl, believe it or not.
She found ONE DRESS that she liked and made this
the dress for ALL her attendents. Then, she ordered
ther dresses in all the colors of the rainbow...it was
stunning! I was yellow.

Everyone had the same dress..but it looked different
because the colors were different on everyone AND
the gown was so trendy that the girls all wore them
afterwards. I shortened my dress and it is beautiful at knee
length. I have worn it twice !

She had all pastels working for her attendents and asked
us first what color we would prefer. I wanted yellow.

It is a nice idea and plays upon everyone's individuality
instead of fearing it.

From the dresses you choose, they don't all "go together"
stylisitcally.

Take one dress that you really like and see if the color
scheme I suggest will work.

You may be surprised.

Bridesmaids??

Hello, I was just wondering how should I pick my bridesmaids? Some of my best friends have turned out to be people that I don't even know. They have all moved away and changed SO much in the worst of all ways, and now when I talk to them I feel like i'm talking to a complete stranger. Should I have them as my bridesmaids?.. and also, I had one VERY good friend back in high school, we were best friends for about 10 years, and now only talk on occasion. Should I have her as a bridesmaid, or should bridesmaids only be girls who are close to you, and will always be a part of your life?

Pick people you want to be there on your special day. These people should enchance the experience and not make it stressful. If you have a friend thats a flake or someone you can't trust, don't pick them.

I would pick people you have been close to within the past few years and people you see yourself having a friendship with in years to come. If you feel unsure about your friendship now, then you probably won't have one in the future either.

La Prima Catering staff had a hard time keeping up with busy Open Book Farm owner Mary Kathryn Barnet in Myersville, MD last week, as she rushed to plant the first seeds and seedlings for ?Seeds to Celebration? -- a one-of-a-kind fall wedding reception featuring a menu of grown-to-order vegetables, herbs and chicken -- before the skies opened and the rain came down.

?We are so pleased to partner with La Prima Catering on this locally-grown, sustainable wedding,? Barnet said. ?These first seedlings will be ready to transplant outside at the end of May. We?ve set aside a section of field as a 'wedding garden' and have a timeline we?ll be following to make sure everything is ready for the big day in late September.?

Bride Jessie Greger and groom Jeremy Solt chose a wedding celebration that reflects their strong support for wonderful food produced locally and sustainably. I'm designing and printing some wedding invitations. How much would you pay for a complete custom set of invitations, rsvp cards, and programs. All with different sizes, and custom colors to match the wedding party.

I found a free wedding invitation template site, typed up the info and printed them out. I then cut and sized them and pasted them onto blue and black construction paper so it has a two layer border. I took a metallic pen and outlined some stuff to give it some sheen.

Overall, I spent like 20 bucks and have more then I need. I'm going the cheap route though

Is there anyplace to get already purchased wedding invitations printed on?

I bought some wedding invitations from Micheals and I don't have a good printer that will get the job done. I'm also having problems finding a place to do it. Any sort of option will be great. My wedding is in the beginning of June, and I need to get them done!

Office supply stores like Staples, Kinkos, Officemax, etc can do them.

Professional print shops can do them as well, those usually cost more but they do better work in most cases.

Anyone know which is the best Cricut product for wedding invitations?

I want to make my own wedding invitations using a Cricut product. I have seen a lot used with the original Cricut and with the Cuttlebug. Anyone know which is better for making simple (but 200+) invites? Also which is the cheapest for the add-ons and whatever else I'll need. If anyone could post pics of invites they made using a Cricut product and which one they used would be helpful too!

Have you gone on the message boards on cricut.com. They have a download of a program called cricut craft room or ccr as some people on the message board call it. It is very easy to weld on the program and it is FREE. Just design and plug your cricut into your computer and it will cut it out. You can also weld on the qypsy put the ccr is so much easier. Hope that helps.

I did all the typing on the make your own invitations, wedding bulletin, and address labels. I need to know a good price to charge? A total of 150 invitations were printed.

I have no idea what a fair price would be - why not take the duties (typing bulletin, wedding invitations, and address labels to a local printer to see what thy would charge - and then come in a little lower than that....

This is the wedding party I assisted at back in February. I didn't get the chance to move them around the way I would have liked. But I was there to serve and there was already quite a bit of physical stress on the bride who needed to rest ASAP before the ceremony.

My flash was also in use with the photographer I was working with so all of these indoor shots were taken with natural light only! I was happy with how they all turned out!
