How should I go about proposing?

Question by AlternativeRocker: How should I go about proposing?
Her real father kicked her out a long time ago for being an Athiest, so up until she moved away, she lived with her adopted father. (She refers to him as her "mentor".) Should I ask him to marry her first? How should I do it?

I was thinking about proposing at the movies, because I have a lot of friends in the movie business who helped me film a fake proposal movie trailer.

Is there any certain way I should go about doing either of these?

I would ask her "mentor" before asking her to marry you because if you ask her & he doesn't approve he will not approve at the wedding ceremony. When asking her to marry you I wouldn't do it at the movies just because if it comes up on the screen & everyone see's she might get embarrassed & you would to if she happened to say no.. I would do it maybe in a fancy restaurant and get the waiters to put the ring in her glass of wine maybe? or even at the park or beach and go for a nice walk.. (: Hope this helps.. Good luck with everything.
