Is a marriage between an Italian and an Irish person a formula for inter-family feuding?

Question by drew: Is a marriage between an Italian and an Irish person a formula for inter-family feuding?
I ask this because my friend (Irish ) married into an Italian-American family and at the wedding reception several people were taken off to jail for violence. The marriage lasted only 6 months, with no kids.

This was a really tough one, and a HUGE pumpkin. As these were for Katie and Forrest's wedding reception at Halloween (which was a full 6 months after the wedding) the wedding date - April 2nd - was carved into it along with the happy NBX couple. Ain't that sweet :p

Drew, I don’t feel the different nationalities had a thing to do with it. I believe more than anything alcohol had EVERYTHING to do with that. My Grand Parents both came from Italy on my Dad’s side of the family/ My Mom was a mix of Swedish with a bit of Irish. My parents had the most loving marriage, I NEVER once heard them even arguing my whole life growing up. I believe it’s more the people than ANYTHING else…best to you…:)
