Marriage for muslim custom and christian custom?

Question by Happy_Loner: Marriage for muslim custom and christian custom?
I'm muslim from malaysia and he is a christian from new zealand.I'm underage of 18 and he is 18.We wanna get marry soon because he is sick.But we dont know how to make the arrangement even he'll convert to islam.So can anyone help?

I'm also a Christian who is married to a Muslim. We got married in his country. It was just signing legal documents and then we had a waleema(more like a reception, but placing of the rings on each other, no vows, the fertility ritual of milk and dates, a little dancing, etc.)

Next year we are having a Christian ceremony in the US so my family can attend.

It all depends on how your families feel because I'm sure you know Muslim women are not supposed to marry non-muslim men and Muslims believe Jesus is only a prophet so it your family might find it insulting if the minister says at the end of the prayer "In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit". It's almost impossible to coordinate a wedding with so many differences in the traditions regading the religions.
