Question by T Cruz: What do I put for the application type in part 2 of the I-485 form?
I'm currently in the US on a student visa. I was married to a US citizen back in October and now I want to apply to adjust my status to a Permanent residence. What do I select in Part 2 of the form? The only one that applies to me would be "other." Do I just put that I'm married to a US citizen in the "reason box" ?

go to www.uscis.gov and go to "forms" look for the i-485 instructions and it actually gives you an explanation of every single question and how to answer it.
