    @gandikie From what I can decipher Its about a young woman who’s life is going in a horribly wrong direction and she feels trapped with no way out. She seeks solitude in her private hiding place where she can focus on simpler things and away from the complicated mess her life is in. The prominent winter theme adds to the cold and melancholy nature of the song and perhaps even hints at Seasonal affective disorder.

    If you like midlake/ fleetfoxes/ john grant etc just go on the Bella Union website and wander around listening to basically everything on their lable – it’s all ethereal, beautiful, skilled and amazing…. i could go on. Music at it’s best!

    I got married this summer. I was so happy, but I would cry at night thinking that I would never live with my parents again.
    This scene just rips my heart out. It is so pure and so raw.
    Makes me cry EVERY SINGLE TIME. Reminds me so much of dad.
