I am truly saddened to announce that Kristian has passed away. His wife Rachel post a great message he had written, followed by this: "Kristian went to Heaven on 2nd of January 2012, just after 8am at Manly Hospital. His passing was truly peaceful and he had a tear in his eye as he left, and I have no doubt that he was looking on the face of Jesus." Rest in peace, Kristian. For any updates, please see his blog here: howthelightgetsin.net When Kristian Anderson was diagnosed with cancer he opted for a unique way to show how much he loved his wife on her birthday. The 35-year-old made a video to thank her for supporting him throughout his cancer treatment and managed to convince actor Hugh Jackman and the New Zealand Prime Minister, John Key, to make cameo appearances. Key appears at the start of the video, wishing Anderson's wife, Rachel, a very happy birthday, while Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman makes an emotional appearance half way through. The 42-year-old star looks straight into the camera and says, 'He loves you Rachel - he loves you.' Throughout the video, Sydney-based Anderson holds up a series of cards expressing how he feels about his wife. At one point he says, 'I need you like I need a cure for cancer' and 'As long as I live, my heart belongs to you.' Anderson was diagnosed with bowel and liver cancer in October 2009 and is undergoing chemotherapy for the illness. Note: This video does not belong to me. It belongs to Kristian Anderson and his wonderful family ...
