Question by blahblahblah: What are some arguments for and against slavery that are presented in the movie Amazing Grace?
In the movie Amazing Grace, I have to write a one page essay of some of the things that were brought up about slavery. Some things why there should be slavery, and also some things why there shouldn't.

I have that movie! Its really good. Well, there are actually 2 of the same title. One is a Nigerian movie made in Nollywood of a white slave trader who falls in love with an African woman, but I guess you mean the English one thats just the true story of William Wilberforce, the man in English Parliament who fought to abolish the slave trade in England.

Just watch it online. The first time I saw it was on Watchfreemovies.net

Heres the trailer, there are some of the arguments given in the trailer...

He mostly says that its morally wrong. He uses the African Author Olaudouh Equiano's authobiography (he's the African guy in the trailer) to show the bad & harsh treatment of Africans and the true side of what was going on in the slave trade.... its a REALLY good movie, He mostly convinces people that its morally wrong and that Africans are no different thn anyone else... & after a long fight in Parliament, they ban slavery in England and made the slave trade illegal. It was a few decades before the Americans had the Civil War too.

Its a true story so just look up William Wilberforce.
